HEAL is an interdisciplinary research and development unit dedicated to leveraging artificial intelligence to advance human health, learning, and overall quality of life.
The team, comprising experts in computer vision, large language models, engineering, modeling and simulation, healthcare, human cognition and performance, and instructional design, works to create and test meaningful technological interventions. Our ultimate mission is to promote lifelong learning and health through innovative, technology-driven solutions.
HEAL is in collaboration with the National Center for Collaboration in Modeling & Simulation (NCCMMS), a joint collaboration between the Division of Research and Economic Development and Virginia Health Sciences.
